NPA celebration to top off PacPrint 09The 26th National Print Awards Presentation Dinner is to be held on the evening of Friday 29 May, at the Palladium Ballroom at Crown Casino, just a short stroll from the PacPrint 09 venue, The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The celebration will top off what industry insiders predict will be one of the largest and most comprehensive graphic arts exhibitions ever held in this part of the world. Announcing the date of the Presentation Dinner, Alastair Hadley, Chairman of the PacPrint 09 Board, and Scott Telfer, Chairman of the 26th National Print Awards, said they were confident the two events would be mutually beneficial. “The National Print Awards has been an integral part of PacPrint for many years,” says Hadley, “and we are delighted to once again be helping the NPA to promote the achievement of excellence, and to recognise those who achieve consistently high standards. “The National Print Awards Presentation is an important addition to the PacPrint 09 calendar, and there will also be display of entries in the MCEC concourse during PacPrint 09, giving all PacPrint visitors a chance to view the country’s most outstanding print jobs. “Holding this celebration after the final ‘business day’ of PacPrint will give interstate visitors another sound reason to plan a visit to Melbourne for the show, and give all attendees a welcome chance to relax, catch up with friends and celebrate the achievements of the industry.” | | Telfer agrees, saying the Awards, the first in their new ‘Best of the Best’ format where all entries are category winners in the country’s State-based Awards, will enhance the PacPrint calendar, while the exhibition will no doubt play a role in ensuring strong attendance at the Awards Dinner.
