Penrith Museum of Printing
Stand AH08
Penrith Museum of Printing is a Living Museum where you can see everything running live, from the Composing Room where we set like Gutenberg did in the 1450's, we lock up formes ready for the press all using metal type. Our Linotype machines produce hot metal text and the Ludlow produces headings. Our presses range in age from 1841 to 1936 and are operational reproducing Newspaper formes from he past including the last front page of the Age and Dorrigo Gazette. Our wooden hand carved illustrations will simply amaze you.
